The department of Physiology has started its journey at Sree Chaitanya Mahavidyalaya in the year 2016 as a General B.Sc. undergraduate course under West Bengal State University (WBSU).The subject is basically deals with the study of human body, more precisely Human Physiology.

The department follows standard curriculum of undergraduate Physiology syllabus as per WBSU incompliance with UGC guidelines. Initially the number of students were poor but now the student’s strength has increased significantly. The department has a smart class room and a well-equipped laboratory for students. The departmental library has various subject related books for advance studies.

After completing B.Sc the students can opt for higher studies. They can appear for any government job like WBCS, UPSC, SSC, etc. They can start their own business-like diagnostic centre, physiotherapy, pharmaceutical company etc.
