The History department of SREE CHAITANYA MAHAVIDYALAYA started its journey from 2010. Honours course was initiated in 2016, with the present intake capacity of 53. The Department is under the affiliation of the WEST BENGAL STATEUNIVERSITY since 2010. From 2018, the Department has introduced the CBCSsyllabus in the Honours and Programme. Students are also encouraged to participate in NSS related activities and Sports. The Department also conducts and or participate in inter and multi departmental seminars, special lectures, webinars to promote research interest amongst students. Faculty members are actively engaged in research work.
